On 25th April, the annual AMYA Charity Challenge will be in full force in Hyde Park, London. Established in the 1980s, the challenge invites people to walk, run or cycle to raise money for charity. An event that raises approximately a quarter of a million pounds a year, the AMYA charity challenge has become a flagship for the Muslim Youth Association. The East Midlands based Champions After Dinner Speakers agency have provided a celebrity personal appearance in the form of cricketing legend, Matthew Hoggard MBE. A wonderful personality who is sure to rally the troops on Saturday morning, ‘Hoggy’ is looking forward to having fun and raising money for such a worthwhile cause. Hoggard’s appearance is following on from a partnership struck by AMYA and Champions Speakers last year, after England’s most capped player, Peter Shilton OBE, appeared at the event and boosted the fundraising efforts even further. Regarding the event, Hoggard had this to say: “The AMYA Charity Challenge is a great event and I’m excited to be a part of something that creates so much money for very worthwhile causes. The challenge supports so many charities, including Rainbows Hospice who I’m a proud supporter and patron of. I hope to see lots of people at the event on Saturday and for the AMYA to be breaking records once again!” To be involved in the AMYA 10k Charity Challenge on the 25th April, get down to Hyde Park at 08:00am for registration and promote our message of ‘Love For All, Hatred For None’.
