“I am never prouder than when I see our faith communities taking that extra step to help those most in need. We were all distraught by the disruption the winter floods brought, but we should be inspired by the efforts of all those that have given their time and effort to come to the aid o f the victims.

We should not be surprised by the AMYA ’s latest call to help – you have an inspiring track record in reaching out to people afflicted by trouble. It is part of your DNA as the Ahmadiyya community to think o f others, whether this has been selling poppies for the British Legion, planting trees of peace, or raising money for the British Red Cross.

We warmly commend the Ahmadiyya community’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian support, working with people of all faiths and promoting tolerance. Long may your efforts continue.”
